"Scotty" Davidson, 71, died Saturdary morning in Westminster Hospital, London, where he had been a patient "hor two weeks, Mr. Davidson ad been in poor health for. several ' months. A son of thy: late , David and Annie Leding- ham Davidson, he was born in Paisley, Scotland, - in 1891 and came to London, Canada, in 1909. The following year he moved to Stratford where he was a Canadian National Rail- ways roundhouse `employee until his retirement in 1957. A vet- eran of the First WorldWar, Mr. Davidson was active in Royal Canadian Legion activi, ties in Stratford. Following his retirement he moved to Gode- rich ' where he lived until his death except for several sum- mers spent in l3ayfield. BARN MISHAP CLAIMS LIFE AT LION1.5 HEAD George Colter, 65, .of Lion's Head, father of MrS. James Sheardown, Goderich, lost - his life Sunday afternoon in a barn mishap on his farm in the Bruce Peninsula. Mr. Colter left for the barn at 3.30 pail. with the intention f throwing down hay, from the mow, for his cattle. A beam in the haymow floor broke, drop- ping, the victim 10 feet to the floor below. Death was at- tributed to head injuries. '1'he accident was discoyered by Mrs. Colter, two hours later, when she went to the barn in search of her husband. '1'he late 1Vlr. Colter is sur- vived by his wife, Bessie,- one son, William of Crediton; three slaughters, Mrs: James (Eliza• beth) Sheardown, Goderich; Mrs. William (Bernice) Levy, Sarnia; Mrs. truce (Georgina) Sencia, London. The funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon from the Shouldice funeral home, Lion's Iliad, followed by'. burial in Lion's Head cemetery.
