Rev. R. G. MacMillan, former minister of Knox Presbyterian
Church, Goderich, was ' inducted into 'the pastoral charge
of Knox Presbyterian Church, Oakville, on Wednesday even-
ing of last week. •
The service was under ,,the direction of the Presbytery
of West Toronto with Rev. F. Norman Young, of George-
town, in charge. He was assisted by Rev. M..E. Burch, of
MimFco, and Rev. D. K. Perry, bf Streetsville. The Mode-
rator of West Toronto Presbytery, Rev. William J. Adam-
son, performed the Induction: Following the service there
was' a reception. . ' '
Rev. Mr. MacMillan and family have taken up residence
at the Manse, 56 Highland•Road, Oakville, Ont.

Mrs. A. Butler reported on the
sewing committee for the hos-
pital and also gave the Hower
report. Mrs. Archie Wilkin was
appointed the program convener
for the birthday tea to be held
at Huronview on September 2Q.
The Goderich branch will pro-
vide the birthday cake, lunch
and gifts for all having birth-
days during September. Plans
were also made to entertain the
merhbers of the Blyth W.I. in
October when It will be -the

they saw the premiers of all
the provinces meeting at the
Parliament Buildings at Char-
lottetown, the birthplace of
Confederation. They were pre-
sent to see some of the premiers;
being interviewed for a coast-
to-coast T.V. program.
Returning home by Maine,
and Vermont, they stopped at
the maple syrup museum and
factory, and enjoyed a conduct-
ed tour through this hmrP

Several visitors recently
came from Elliott Lake
seeking the way to the Salt
Mine to obtain employment.
Someof them were successful
and reported back to Miss Brad-

moving their' families to Gode-
rich. During the past summer,
there have been many requests
for motel accommodation and
by reports back to bliss Brad-
ford she believes that all motels
in this district have had a very
busy summer. She stated that
many of the visitors are disap-
pointed to. find out that there
are no organized tours of the
