Emerson, Mrs. Wm. Doak, Mrs. D. McMillan, Miss L. Robinson and Mrs. Chas. Gibbons. Two letters of congratulations from the provincial and national headquarters on the diamond anniversary were read by Mrs. J. Robin. Mrs. H. Dodd, Empire and World Affairs convener, gave an interesting and informative paper on the Congo situation and the Commonwealth confer- ence being held in London, Eng- land. It was decided to have a rum- mage sale in April 'and a tea in June. Mrs. J. Robin read the first chapter of a book received re, cently, entitled "Fifty. Years of I.O,D.E." Mrs. G. Henderson sang a solo accompanied by Mrs. George Currell. A° delicious lunch was served by the hostess, 'Mrs. W. Doak, , Mrs. F. Walkom and ',Mrs. H. Dodd. Mrs. H. Tichborne thanked those who had taken part in the program and Mrs. G. Dustow .for her home for the meeting. Need1quipmi.t'. For Shampooing The March meeting of the Women's Hospital Auxilia44 was held in the Board Room at the Hospital, Monday afternoon. Mrs. A. Nicol presided. After some discussion, it was decided that equipment should be purchased to assist nurses in the shampooing of patients' hair. Mrs. J. C. Ross was appointed as representative- to the Cancer Society, end a dumber of: can- vassers volunteered for the Can- eei'bFuntl`-drive: A very encouraging report of Gift Shop sales was given by Mrs. K. E. Taylor. The forth- coming Daffodil Tea and the Graduate Nurses' card party were brought to the -attention df the meeting. Conveners of committees were appointed for the annual penny sale and hospital tea to be held early in July. After the meet- ing adjourned, tea and cookies were served by the' members. r K� KINGSBRIDGE, March 20.— Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Moran, Of London, spent the week -end with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moran.
