the March meeting at the home
of Mrs. J. Torrance with 20

by Mrs. D. Bruinsma. The topic
and prayer were taken by -Mrs.
Elgin Cox. The roll call was
answered with an Irish verse
or joke. The secretary's and
treasurer's reports were read
and adopted. The treasurer,
Mrs. ,A. Lockhart,' reported that
the "hobo teas" had brought in
$77:50. It was decided to pack
a bale at the next meeting and
send it to Slomon's school car
at Capreol. Mrs. H. Torrance
was in charge of the program
which consisted of two Very
humorous readings. A sing -song
of Irish songs was enjoyed. Dur-
ing the afternoon a large quilt
was quilted. ' The April meeting

Mrs. Elgin Cox and at this meet-
ing Cancer films will be shown.
The hostess served lunch.

Rev. S. A. Moote conducted
funeral services at Stiles funeral
home on March 13th for Mrs.
Clara Allin, who died suddenly
at her East street home on
March 1.0th. 'Interment was in
Colborne cemetery.
The pallbearers were: Frank
Treble, London; Maitland Allin,
Auburn; Elmer Cranston, Gode-
rich; Arnold Allin, William
Treble and Howard Feagan, all
of Colborne Township. The
flowerbearers were: Hugh Hill,
Williarn Hill, Herb Lamprey,
Ray Isherwood and Clyde Alli-
son. The Godericb Women's Ih-
stitute formed a guard of honor
at the funeral service because
Mrs. Allin had been a valued
member of the organization.
Relatives and friends from a
distance attending the funeral
included:. Mr. and Mrs. William
Johns, Zelma, Sask.; Mrs. Wil-
liam (Luella) Roxhin, Montreal,
niece Of Mrs. Allin; Mr. and
Mrs. Donald J. Allin and child-
, ren; Monctorn, N.B.;. and grand-
children from' Kitchener, Wind-
sor, Toronto tnd Chicago. •
A daughter of the late Nathan
Johns and of the former Eustina
Ginder, she was born on Decem-
ber 25, 1886 in Colborne Town-
ship. On September 27, 1904,
she married Alden T. Allin, and
they made their home in Col-
borne until 1948 when they mov-
ed to Goderich Mr. Allin died
less than a year ago on May 23,
1960. Mrs. Allin was a member
of the Goderich Women's Insti-
tute, of Victoria Street *United
Church and of several church
organizations including the Bible
Class, W.M.S. and W.A.
She is stneVived by one daugh-
ter, Mrs. Harold (Viola) Mott -

A.. all pf Goderich; Ponald J.,
Moncton, N.B.; 21 grandchild-
ren; eight great-grandchildren;
two sisters, Mrs. ()live Treble
