Cutting Prices Drastically

GODERICH, Feb. 16th, 1961 (GUS) - Mr. P. C. A. Gariiutt, Senior Controller of Adams story, in
Goderich has taken drastic measures to curb the "overstocked" problem existing in the 8 ''he Square store.
This condition came to light after the annual stock taking this week.
Realizing that liis decision would mean considerable action in the way of price reductions, Mr.

With quantities of new stock arriving, it has become necessary that all `1960 stock be 'cleared
from the store by February 18th. To bring this about, Mr. Garbutt has ordered the biggest price slashing
in 'the store's history, .He explained his decision this way: "We can't have stock choking up our store!"
