Tuesday. -Mr Sam'l Faint has returned
from Michigan and will likely stay here for
the summer. -Mite Georgia Walker, of
Ailsa Craig, spent last week in the village
as the guest of. Mr John Kerr -The local
politician for both parties attended the
respective conventions held at Ailsa Craig
during the past week. -Mr 0, Kibler gave
himself an ugly out in the foot with an axe
while splitting wood the other day. He
has been laid up since and will not be able
to be around for a few days. -Mr and Miss
Faust. besides numerous other young people
from Zurich, spent Sunday in Orediton.-
Evidently the marriage erase is not ended
yet. On Tuesday last Mr Jacob Schwartz
was married to Miss Louisa, third daughter
of Mr Aug. Heist. Rev. Mr Stdbbler tied
the matrimonial knot in a firm manner. A
very large number of invited guests -attend-
ed and the bride and groom were made the
recipients, of numerous beautiful anti costly
presents.

appeared in the neighborhood of Woodham.
Mr Squires tied the dog up for some time,
when thinking ail danger was over let him
loose. He disappeared for a few days and
then returning Sunday last bit three of Mr
Squires' little children and then- left on its
mad career biting doge and cattle all up the,
line until put out of the way as desoribed
above: It is not yet known what amount
of damage has been done, butit is certain
that the people are ron,ed and already many
dogs have been put to rest.

afternoon the Blaokbnsh and Dathwood
school football teams, met on the old foot-
ball grounds to play a friendly match. For
the first, half hour neither side scored, but
in the second half, our boys pro; ed to be
too much for the Blackbush boys, and sent
the ball through the goal three times mak-
ing the score 2 to 0' in favor of Dashwood.
