OBITUARY
JOHN S. IVVcTAVISH
Residents of Goderich learned
with regret of the. sudden death of
'Vohn, S. McTavish, of Listowel. Mr:
McTavish suffered a stroke on Sat-
urday, September 5, and passed
away shortly after, He was 62
years of ,age. Deceased was the
manager of British American Oil
Company's branch at Wingham•
and had lived in Goderich for a
number of years before moving to
Listowel some years ago. He was
a member of the United Church.
•, Surviving are,hiswife,_ the form
er Ethel Horn, of Monkton,.• and' a
son, Albert 'R.,' of London, his mo-
ther; Mrs. Hugh McTavish; and twd•
brothers, Are -hie, of London, and
Fraser McTavish, of Windsor. The
funeral was at Listowel with inter-
ment in Elma'Centre cemetery.

' • MRS. THOMAS •McLEAN
A young woman in the person
of Mrs. Thomas McLean died sud-
denly on Saturday morning last,
at her home on Quebec street.
She was a daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Melvin Raynard and was born
Ashfield Township 35 years' ago.
She c me with her parents to Gode-
to 'c -'in-d 2-: --Mrs. --Mc--
Lean was •a member of North Street
United Church and of the 'Woman's
Association.
In 1946, she was married to
Thomas McLean who now survives.
There are also, two daughters, Karin
and MAI h Ann, as well as her par-
ents and two sisters, Mrs. Bruce
(Winnifred) Chapman, of London,
and Mrs. Ralph (Gertrude) Black-
stone, of Goderich, and her grand -
.mother, Mrs. Jas. Drennan, also of
Goderich.
The funeral 'service was con-
ducted by Rev. A. E. Eustace-at
North Street United Church on
Tuesday afternoon. •The pallbear-
ers were Messrs. Ross Sparks, 'Ken-
neth''Weber, Chas. Connelly; Ed-
ward Bissett, Edward- Williams and
Claude Tessier. Interment .was in
Maitland cemetery.
MRS.. PATRICIA REYNOLDS
Mrs. Patricia Catherine Reynolds
died in Alexandra Hospital, Gode-
rich, on Saturday in her 93rd
year. She was a daughter of the
late Mr: arid` Mrs. Feli'ic'Harilon and'
was born at 'Clinton. Her husband,
1?ominic .Reynolds, `died in 1934.
Prior to - going to live with her
daughter at Kingsbridge, she had
resided at New Liskeard' for a
number of years. She was a mem-
ber of the Roman Catholic Church.
Resides her daughter, Mrs. Ray
Dalton, of Kingsbridge, she is sur-
vived by another daughter, Mrs.
Mary Simms, of Toronto, and four
sons, Edmund and ,basil Reynolds,
both of Sault Narrows, Ont., C: B.
Reynolds and • Fergus Reynolds,
both of Sudbury. There 'are also
25 grandchildren and 21 great -

morning at St.. Joseph's Church;
Kingsbridge, and interment was in
the St. Joseph's cemetery.

-edent, Mrs. T. Sowerby, took charge
of the 'meeting. Mrs... D. -Harris
.led in prayer. Mrs. Wni. Cox read
the Scripture and topic. The roll
call was answered with a "School
Lunch Idea." The secretary's and
treasurer's 'reports were 'read and
adopted. During the afternoon a
large quilt was quilted' 'The hostess
