call, The annual meeting is to

Mrs. 'J, Bisset was appointed to
conduct the election of officers.
Mrs. Kernighan introduced the
guest. speaker, Fire Chief J. Hog-
garth, who told of many ways of
preventing fires. Mrs. J. Bisset
thanked Mr. Hoggarth and others
who took part at the meeting.

vided an Irish touch to the pro-
gram.

. The Dungannon Agricultural So-
ciety held its annual meeting in
their, hall on Saturday afternoon,
March .14,' with -an attendance of
22 members. Many had to dig
their cars out of snowdrifts to -get
to the meetin
A new executive was elected as
follows: president, Ralph"Godfrey;
lst vice-president, Gordon Saund-
ers; 2nd vice-president,' Harold
Adams. Donald McKenzie and
Roderick McKenzie were moved up
to directors.
The following associate lady
directors were added: Mfrs. Omar'
Brooks, Mrs. Wilmer. Brown, Mrs.
Chester Finnigan, .'VI'rt. , Harvey
Alton, Mrs. Mel Dickson, Mrs. Don-
ald McKenzie.
The secretary -treasurer present-
ed the annual statement which
showed the society had a very`suc-

Mr, Melvhv Dickson, the retic

Culbert and Gordon Saunders for

MRS. WM. E. HOCKIN
Mrs. William F, Hockin, 50, of
Kitchener, mother of Mrs. Roland
Roy, of Goderich, died March 9th
at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener,
after a br, illness. Requiem high -
'Mass, was_ sung at, St. Anne's .
Church, Kitchener, with interment
in Woodland cemetery.
A native of Sudbury, Mrs. Hockin
moved t� Kitchener about six years
ago. She was a member of St,
Anne's R.C. Church and the Cath-
olic Women's League.'
Surviving are her MOtiher, Mrs.'
Georgina Bruneau, of Capreol, .her.
husband, whom she married in ,
Windsor in 193Q, three sons, Ken-
neth, RCAF in Germany, Robert,
of Ingersoll, Raymond with the
RCAF at Clinton, a daughter, Mrs,
'R. Roy, of Goderich, two brothers
in Sudbury ,and a ,.sister in Inger-
soll.' There are eight grandchild-
ren. Her father and a brother pre-
deceased her.
