AT KINGSBRIDGE PLANS FOR ANNUAL MEET KINGSBRIDGE, March 24. --St. Joseph's sub -division CWL held their March meeting in the parish slut _ orris ori- March 16, Several cards' of -----thanks were read by the secretary. Mrs. Joe O'Keefe gave the financial report. Plans were made for an Easter dance to be held Easter Monday. April 7th. Nomination rules ,were read by the secretary, then Mrs. Ray Dal- ton, ,Mrs. Joe O'Keefe and Mrs. Leo Courtney were appointed nomin- ating committee. April 13th will be the annual meeting, at which all reports must be made. Mrs. Leo Courtney gave .a read- ing "Irish and Proud of It." Fisher is now 'a member -of the committee and George Clingan is replacing Wm. Anderson. '1 he committee was informed that it is quite likely that approval will be given for building 22 houses in Goderich. If so, it was unanimous- ly agreed by this committee that strong recommendations be made that the contract be given to a local contractor or, if no suitable hid is' received from a local con® tractor, that as much local .labor as possible be employed. The committee was pleased to hear that Council has made plans to employ the men who are eligible under the Provincial scheme on various public works' projects. - As a project for next fall, the committee' decided to sponsor a poster for school children to help interest in off-season employm.ant.'
