Over for another year is the
annual ;At -Home. A crowd of about
three hundred attended the gala
event. The decorating committee
should dap' ornmended for their
hard work whicb, resulted in a
beautifully "decorated gymnasilltn.
Among the blue and white stream-
ers, flickers of light were east from
the revolving sphere of mirrore.
The lobby was decorated to re-
semble a ski lodge. This theme
was carried into the gym where
scenes of skiers and mountains
adorned 'the walk,
On Wednesday of last week, the
girls !played host to Clinton girls'
ibasketiball team. In the Senior
game, Rosalie Bedard led Gode-
rich to a 25 to 15 victory. The
Juniors were equally successful in
defeating Clinton 24 to 16. Clara
Fuller scored the highest number
recteonridgo)
of points. The boys travelled to
Clinton where they ' split the
doubleheader. Goderich Seniors
continued their _winning streak by
defeating Clinton 46 to 37. High
scorer was Garden McCullough.
Bad luck continued for the Juniors
who were defeated 36 to "26. Wayne
Muck collected 14 points. Travel-
ling to Stratford last Saturday, the
Seniors wereagain overpowered
Eby the Y.ifff.C.A. team. McCullough
led the scoring with, 14 points.
Wingham boys came here yester-
day and Goderich .girls trweelled
mit of town. ,

OBITUARY
MRS. MARGARET INKSTER
.Mrs. Margaret Inkster, widow of
the late Capt. James S. Inkster,
died in Alexandra Marine and
General Hospital on Tuesday. She
was in her 90th year.
Funeral service will be conduct
ed by Rev. R. G. MacMillan, of
Knox Presbyterian4Church, at the
Lodge funeral hothe on Friday at
2 pen: Interment will be in Mait-
land cemetery.
Born ih Hensall, she was the
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas Bonthron. She lived in
Southampton for a time before
coming to Goderich about 70 year.
ago. Her husband, Capt. James
S. Inkster, died in 1943. "Mrs.
Inkster was a member of Knox
Presbyterian Church and of the
Octogenarian Club.
Surviving, are two sons, Leslie,
of Toronto, and T. H., of Seattle;

at 10 a.m., when Mary Yvonne

Vassella, Kintail, became the bride
of James Sinnett, son of Mrs, Nora
Sinnett, Detroit, Michigan. Rev.
Father Van Vynckt performed the
ceremony.
The bride was lovely in a gown
of white nylon net over satin. She
carried an arrangement of red
roses. Miss Maureen Vassella,
maid of honor for her sister, wore
shrimp nylon over satin and car-
; ried white palms. Misses Eileen,
Betty Lou and Linda Vassella,
sisters of the bride, were junior

j troit, Michigan, brother of the
groom, was, best man. !Mr. Peter
Liernaan, of Kingsbridge, presided
at the organ.
For the wedding breakfast at 12

red roses.
A reception was held later at
the Agricultural Hall, Dungannon,
with dancing and music by local
talent. Irish songs were sung by
the groom and Mr. D. A. MacLen-
nan, Lochalsh, and Mr. Sandy Mc-
Donald, Kintail, entertained on
the bagpipes.
For her wedding trip to Texas,
U.S.A., Mrs. `Sinnett whose a green

return they will reside at Detroit,
