Olver and Mise E. McMillan on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Thoinas McPhee, of Nile, and Mrs. L. ell, of Port - revere,. Sask., were visiting, with old friends on Sunday. Allan Reed motored to Niogara on Tuesday with a bus load of 4-H Club members. K. K. Dawson, Mrs. Dawson and sea, David, spent Wednesday after- noon at Port Elgin and Acir ter, Karen, Who had been holiday- ing with Mr. and Mrs( Marvin Duren returned home with them. Mrs. James McKenzie and grand- daughter, Jeanie Dahmer, of Kitch- ener, are visiting with her daughter McAllister and Mary Lou. Miss Lilian Popp has gone to United Church summer camp near Goderieh this week as one off the Mr. and Mrs. Chester Durnin and two daughters, of Pittsburg, Pa., are holidaying with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Durnin. Mrs. A. J. Babel, of Port Col- borne, was visiting with her two sisters and brothers-irelaw, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Sherwood and Robert this .past week and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Anderson and family. Robert returned home with her for a week's holiday. and Mrs. W. G. Hunter and son, Larry, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bradley and Cheryl Ann, of Gode- rich, were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Herb Stothers. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mole and daughter, from Mount Forest, were home for the week -end. The Junior Farmers will hold their annual service next Sunday evening in the Ahrited Church, Dungannon, at 8 o'clock. Mr. and 1VIrs. Clayton Robertson, of Cepper Cliff, were guests last week with Mr. and Mrs. K. K. Dawson. , Mr. /and Mrs. Clarence Miller and Beverley Ann, of Hamilton, were Sunday visitors with Mr. and „Mrs. Lorne Ivers. Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Durnin Phillips were Mr. and Mrs. N. Scott, of yellow Grass, and Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Currie, of Dayton, Ohio. Erskine Presbyterian Church held their monthly meeting at Mrs. Allan Reed's h'amo. The president, Mrs. H. Stothers, presided. Miss Lois Webster delivered an in- spiring message taken from the Old Testament. A mixed quartette of Miss Lillian Popp, Miss Evelyn Smith, Wilma Errington and Carol Sievert sang. Jimmy Blake told of the example of the life of Helen Kellar. Much credit is due these young people on the Christian work they are carrying on. Mrs. Irvine Henry spent Thurs- day in Whiteehurch with her niece, Mrs. Goedon Rintoul and called on her mother's friend, Mrs. David Kennedy, who is 94 years of age and still able to carry on her household duties. 4-H Supper Club.-fl'he Achieve- tnent Day for the 441 Homemaking Supper Clubs for North Huron took place in Wingharn last Thursday. The Dungannon Modern-Caoks with their leaders, Mrs. R. Kilpatrick and Mrs. 0. Brooks and The Dun- gannon Cooking Lassies with their leader, 'Mrs. L. Hasty, attended. The Dungannon Modern Cooks pre- grited a skit on' 'Our Daily Food" With eight girls. taking part. The Dungannon Cooking Lassies had an exhibit of "Tea Biscuits with Vari- ations" with Joanne Crozier giving thi three minute comment: Sev- eral of -the girls were presented with a certificate on the eomple- tion of Iwo clubs. The project chosen for 1957 was "Clothes Clos- ets Up To Date." The Dungen on W107111ell'S institute sponsored both these clubs. Mothers Are Guests. -The Anal meeting of the Dungannon Modern Cooks 4-H Homemeking Supper Club wa.s held at the home of the leader, Mrs. Richard lei)patrie.k. The girls served an attraetive bui- fee supper to their mothers as guests. About 36 pereons attended. The girls presented Mrs. Kilpatrick and Mrs. Brooks with gifts in appreciation of their leadership.
