AND.. - .HERE AND THERE
The trucker -salesman was in-
sistent that his load of fruits and
vegetables on the Square last Fri-
day noon was "red hot" from the
greenhouses they were so fresh.
Soon afterwards smoke poured
from under the 'tarpaulin. It
wasn't the "red hot" fruits and
vegetables but the charcoal burner
which had set up a blaze in the
truck. It was quickly extinguish-
ed,
Blossoms picked from a peach
tree in her yard were in full bloom
this week on the dining room
table of Mrs. Howard Blue.

A room at the Library` formerly
known as the quarters of the
Octogenarian Club has been re-
designated as Goderich Old Boys'
Club Room, implying it is open to
other than -just octogenarians. New
president of the Octogenarian Club
