Nurses' Dance
The president, Mrs. N. C. Jack-
son, represented the Auxiliary on'
the Hospital Board. In April the
nurses held a successful dance
which the Auxiliary assisted by
promising financial support and
serving lunch under the convener -
ship of Mrs. George MacEwan. A
donation of $25 was made toward
a washing machine for the nurses'
residence. o
A very successful birthday party
was held on Hospital Day, May
10, with tea served under the con-
venership of Mrs. Rivers.
We regret that the Auxiliary
was bereaved of two life members,
Mrs. A. D. McLean and Miss
Amelia McLean; also of two mem-
bers, Mrs. Salkeld and Miss Belle
MacVicar, all of whom were faith-
ful and interested members for
many years.
The sewing committee kept the
sewing and mending up to date as
far as possible, but more help is
needed- in this department.
In the fall, 500 calendars were
sold by the Auxiliary under the
leadership ^of Mrs, D. D. Mooney
from which a net sum of over $100
was realized.
Magazine subscriptions were
renewed for the nurses, and Christ -
