JACK GILLESPIE undergoes transformation during a
make-up session for his lead part as Joseph Flack in the
play "The House Not Made with Hands" presented at the
Wingham United Church Sunday evening. The play was
written for the 112th anniversary of the church in Wingham.

MARILYN WOOD as Mrs. Joseph Flack had one of the most
critical roles of the play "The House Not Made with
Hands". Her most moving scene came at the end of act two.
The play was presented for the anniversary celebration of
the Wingham United Church Sunday evening.

chener -Waterloo choral group

Abner Martin of RR 1, Atwood,
the director and founder of the
Menno Singers, will conduct the
mass choir and the Kitchener -
Waterloo Symphony Orchestra
which will accompany the sing-
ers for the Haydn concerts.

gathered at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Anson Ruttan Friday night
for a farewell party for Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Connell, who have
sold their home in Fordwich and
moved to the home they recently
purchased in Hanover. Euchre
was played and the guests were
presented with door chimes.
Walter Harrifield spent the
weekend in Hagersville and at-
tended the funeral of a relative,

what she is making for a free -

Discussion centred around a
historical outline of embroidery.

together 292 singers from central
and western Ontario who began
rehearsing in five separate
regional groups early in Septem-
ber.
No auditions were held for the
choir. Instead all members of the
first Mennonite Masi Choir re-
ceived an informational memo
and registration form in May and
new members were invited to

Mr. Martin himself directed
the Elmira rehearsal group. Bill
Janzen of the music Faculty of
Conrad Grebel College of the
University of Waterloo was in
charge of the Kitchener group.
Bob Shantz, music director at
Rockway Mennonite School, led a
group meeting at Baden. Secon-
dary school music directors Earl
Brubacher and Henry Boldt
directed the regional choirs in
Toronto and London respectively.,
