She was in her 89th year. Born in East Wawanosh Town- ship on April 15, 1887, Mrs. Krohn was the former Caroline Margar- et Thom, a daughter of the late Charles Thom and Eliza Flem- ing. She was predeceased by her eight sisters, Mrs. David (Laura) Johnston, Mrs. Ted (Jessie) Jones, Mrs. John (Mary) Camp - Cards of Thanks We want to thank the Kinsmen for moving us to our new home. Interment followed in Wingham Cemetery. Pallbearers were six grand sons, James Krohn, David McKay, John Krohn, Terry McDougall, `William Martin and Doug Krohn. Caskanette ' R Funeral service was held Mon- day at two o'clock at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Wingham, for Frank Joseph Caskapette of Wingham. Rev. A. J. Nolan officiated and interment followed in Wingham Cemetery. He was assisted. by Rev. Mooney of Mount Carmel and ,r Rev. P. Duffy of Teeswater. Pallbearers. were the r de- ceased's two sons, Don and Wilfred; his son-in-law, Jim Shaw; Harry Gerrie, Carl Frie- burger and Ed Bauer. Mr, Caskanette • passed away,'" Friday, October 24, at .the Wifig- ham and District Hospital follow- ing a brief illness. Born 66 years ago in Munising, Michigan, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Caskanette. At the age of 10, he came to Ontario, residing in the Riversdale area where he received his education. On October 5, 1938, he married. the former Agnes Lippert of Greenock in Riversdale and they came to Wingham where he later operated the Supertest Service Station for 20 years. He has been retired for the past five years. Mr. Caskanette was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Wing - ham ; . the Knights of Columbus, Walkerton; and the Wingham ,M Sportsmen's Club. Surviving, besides his wife, are one daughter, Mrs. Jim (Fran- ces) Shaw of RR 1, Bluevale; two sons, Don of Guelph and Wilfred with the Canadian Armed Forces at Calgary; and seven grand- children. He is also survived by five sisters and five brothers. He was predeceased by one sister and one brother.
