Swimming lessons commenced
last Wednesday at the Howick
Lions' Swimming pool. Approxi-
mately 250 have registered for
the month of July. Miss Joanne
Carroll of London is swimming
instructor, with Julie Fairies,
Mary Lou Keil, Cindy Brown,
Carolyn McMillan, and Heather
- Neilson assistants. Another class
will commence early in August.

pleasant and interestipg bus tow
on Thai sday, June 3, in a cool air-
conditioned Bruce Coach Lines
bus.
Institute members and friends
from local and neighboring com-
munities enjoyed a tour of the
Fanshawe Dam and Pioneer Vil-
lage at London, then a smorgas-
bord noon meal at "The Garage"
in London.
In the afternoon, Mr. Carp,
vice-presidept of Kayser -Roth (a
lingerie factory) proved an ex-
cellent guide and commentator
during a tour of that plant.
The ladies were then transport-
ed to the White Oaks Plaza for
shopping and a snack supper be-
fore returning home to Gorrie.
Mrs. Gladstone Edgar and her
committee are to be congratulat-
ed on making the trip so interest-
ing and entertaining.
