Mrs. Emerson then read an ad-
dress to Joann and Gayle Rintoul
presented the gifts to the guest of
honor. She was assisted by Ruth
Elliott, Lisa and Karen Scholtz of
Goderich. She was the fortunate
recipient of kitchenware, linens,
a wall plaque, electrical applian-
ces, a clothes hamper, boudoir
lamps and many other articles.
Miss Laidlaw expressed her
gratitude and lunch was served to
close an entertaining and enjoy-
able evening.
WISE WEEDERS
FORDWICH -- The ' garden'
club met at the home of Jean
Dinsmore, with roll call an-
swered by ten members. Leaders
discussed care of flowers, plant-
ing and looking, after a garden.
The meeting `closed with the
motto, "Learn to do by doing".
The next meeting will be held
June 2 at the home of Jean Clark-
son. A landscaper will' be present
to tell the club how to landscape.
This meeting is open to anyone
who is interested.
