Rhonda Gibson, Linda Moore, Wendy Kay and Clara Milligan sang two numbers and Miss Janet Laidlaw played a piano . solo; Readings were given by Mrs.,Milian Moore and Mrs. Geore Fisher. Karen and Lee Ann Young provided special numbers, as did Shirley and Joan Tiffin: Mrs. Emerson then read an ad- dress to Joann and Gayle Rintoul presented the gifts to the guest of honor. She was assisted by Ruth Elliott, Lisa and Karen Scholtz of Goderich. She was the fortunate recipient of kitchenware, linens, a wall plaque, electrical applian- ces, a clothes hamper, boudoir lamps and many other articles. Miss Laidlaw expressed her gratitude and lunch was served to close an entertaining and enjoy- able evening. WISE WEEDERS FORDWICH -- The ' garden' club met at the home of Jean Dinsmore, with roll call an- swered by ten members. Leaders discussed care of flowers, plant- ing and looking, after a garden. The meeting `closed with the motto, "Learn to do by doing". The next meeting will be held June 2 at the home of Jean Clark- son. A landscaper will' be present to tell the club how to landscape.
