Probably the most important is the "wrist snap." It is an absolute must if you are to de- velop a powerful and effective serve. Many players wear _their arm out attempting to achieve racquet head speed without making use of their wrist. Shot Oder and elbow problems frequently arise when the player slugs the ball with an extended or "stiff" elbow and wrist. A good test to determine whether you have the correct wrist snapping technique mastered is to practice your serve with your grip in the middle of the racquet. Start the motion with the racquet on your shoulder. Toss the ball directly over your head and flop your wrist up and over the ball. Don't muscle the ball. Hit up and hold- the follow-through posi- tion. Now compare it to the illus- tration. Don't be surprised if the racquet handle hits you in the forearm a few times. Contin- ue practicing until your wrist breaks, properly and the han- dle rotates to the outside of your forearm. Practice this drill 50 times per day until the wrist break is a natural part of your serve. Oh, when the ospreys return . - - PERTHSHIRE, England - The first of a pair of ospreys that has nested at Loch of the Lowes here for the last few years has returned to the. eyrie. The rare pair attracted more than 50,000 visitors in 1974. 8:00 Ont. Schools 8, 10, 11 8:30 Romper Room 13 8:45 Ed Allen 11 Mon Ami 8, 10 9:00 Yoga 13 Friendly Giant 8, 10 9:15 Ont.
