Attention need
seen in 'i' dots
By DOROTHY
ST. JOHN JACKSON '
Certified Master
Oraphoanalyst
Dear Dorothy:
I've been divorced for eight
years. and have four married
children. 1 can retire soon
from my job, but, sometimes,
I feel like giving it up now to
live with my son in another
city. He's been asking me for
a long time. What do you think
1 should do?
B.J.
Pear B.J. :
The odds are that we are
more a part - if we live
apart. Consider how you
would blend into your son's
family.
Your need for attention is a
little bit more than the aver-
age person, seen in your circle
i dots. The looped is say that
your feelings are easily hurt.
Since you tend to_ interpret..
any criticism as a form of dis-`
approval you would feel,
keenly, any unintentional re-
jects by the family.
Of course, you would have
your happy times, but you
would, also, have to expect
the pangs, of unmeaningful
slights and snubs which would
wound you, and the moments
of neglect which would de-
press you. Because you are
easily influenced, seen in the
soft rounded s, watch that
your son's concern for you,
now, which is satisfying your
immediate desire for atten-
tion, does not overpower your
good judgment, seen in your
vertical writing.
Don't forget to consider,
too, that frequent visits with
your son's family would mean
laughter in their hearts, when
you arrive, and tears in their
eyes when you leave - with
YOU as the central figure.
But, making your home with
them means that you must fit
yourself into their way of life
- not them into yours.
