Edwards dies at Listowel Clayton Francis Edwards, 68, of 261 Elizabeth Street west, Listowel, died March 17 at Listo- wel Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 25, 1906 at Belmore, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William (Margaret Abram) Edwards. Prior to his retirement a few years ago, Mr. Edwards was the head sawyer at the Andrew Mal- colm Furniture factory in Listo- wel. Besides his wife, the former Sarah Emilie •(Emma) Hardie, he is survived by one son James of Listowel; four brothers, Harry, Clair, Leslie, all of Lon- don and Lorne of RR 2, Tees - water; one sister Mrs. Margaret Busby of Belmore and two grand- children.- He was predeceased by one brother and one sister. The body rested at the Mc- Laughlin and Reed Funeral Home, at 285 Elizabeth St. west, Listowel where a private family service and committal were held at 2 p.m. March 19 with Rev. William Bell of Listowel in charge. Burial will be in Wingham Cemetery. George Walker, Belgrave DIED KITTME11-At Stratford Gen- eral Hospital on Wednesday, March 5, Thomas Kittmer of Embro, in his 74th year. Born in West Zorra Township, Mr. Kittmer never married. A member of the United Church, he was also a member of the Independent Order of Oddfel- lows for close to 50 years .and served as Deputy Grand Master for some time. He is survived by three sisters Mrs. Snsan Armstrong of Barrie, Mrs. Olive Conyers of Toronto and Mrs. 'Mildred Gregory of Wingham; one brother, Donald Kittmer of Harrington and sev- eral nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one broth- er and two sisters. The late Mr. Kittmer rested at the Johnston Funeral Home, Embro, where service was held Saturday, °March 8. Spring interment will take place in the Townline Cemetery, West Zorra. There were 91 members and their wives in attendance. Speakers for the occasion were Ken Thonipson, Ontario D.H.I. manager from the Livestock Branch in Toronto, who spoke on the latest developments in herd testing; Harold Clapp, animal nutrition specialist of University of Guelph, •who spoke on herd management; Bill Broadworth, associate agricultural repre- sentative of Huron County who dealt with field crops and Roy Schniwr, D.H.I. lab manager of Mount Forest who spoke on proper procedure of 'taking milk samples for butterfat testing. Recognition was given to the top five high producing herds in the supervised program owned by Joe Winkel, RR 1, Fordwich; Karl Gross, RR 2, Mildmay; Velleview Farms Ltd., RR 3, HarrisYlon; Henry Teune, RR 3, Clifford and John McKnight, RR 1, Clifford. The top five herds in the owner sampler division were John Vandenbraak, RR 1, Fordwich; Glen Bender, RR 2, Palmerston; William Klumpenhower, RR 1, Listowel; Walter Pirker, R1 2, Gorrie and Harvey Yoder, RR 1, Wroxeter.
