Ma'. and Mrs. Dave Dinsmore, Mrs. Verna Galbral and Mrs. Elsie Strong attended the funeral on Tuesday in St. Catharines of Mrs. Earl Upper. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kiang and Roger of Guelph were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Randy King. Mr. and Mrs. Austin ° Stinson, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Bert Stinson of Harriston at- tended the funeral of Charlie Vodden at ;Myth on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. John Leppington and Vicki of G9rrie were Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs. Carl D'Arcey. Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Jonas of Breslau visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Schumacher. Mr. and Mrs. Holger Espensen and boys drove Thursday of this week from Toronto Interoatil Airport for a =entil's holiday with relatives in Denmark, Sherry Dunbar and Steve Gib- son of Orangeville visited, with Mrs. Florence Wilson over the weekend. Also visiting were Sue and Terry La, Framboise and young Scotty of Vanastra. The Great Slave Lake region surrounding Yellowknife is of interest to geologists and rock - hounds. It is rich in Paleozoic fossils and a wide range of rocks and minerals such as beryl, ame- thyst, garnet, jasper, rose quartz, serpentine and tourmaline. ACCORDION SOLOIST Heather Veen was the seventh of nine acts at the Thursday night Lions' Talent Hunt.
