on Tuesday in St. Catharines of
Mrs. Earl Upper.

The Great Slave Lake region
surrounding Yellowknife is of
interest to geologists and rock -
hounds. It is rich in Paleozoic
fossils and a wide range of rocks
and minerals such as beryl, ame-
thyst, garnet, jasper, rose quartz,
serpentine and tourmaline.
ACCORDION SOLOIST Heather Veen was the seventh of
nine acts at the Thursday night Lions' Talent Hunt.
Heather, 13, has been studying the accordion for two years
and came all the way from Kincardine to compete in the
show.
