The late Mr. Stainton rested at
the $t J. Walker Funeral Home
where Rev. Barry Passmore
conductedfuneral service Mon-
day at twO o'clock. Interment
followed in Wingham Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jack Good-
all, Ken Saxton Sr., Frank Innes,
• Jack Treleaven, Harold Wild and
Vernon Reid, Carrying, floral tri-
butes were George Cameron, Bill
Elston and Angus Mowbray.

Perth County, on April 15, 1881,
Mrs. Hammond was the former
Margaret .Ann. Martin, a daugh-
ter of the late Margaret Ann Mar-
tin and William Martin. 'She was
predeceased by' her husband in
1957.
Mrs.,Uammond was a member
of St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church where she was a former
member 'of the choir.
Surviving are two sons, Alvin
Hammond of Toronto and Ralph
Hammond of Petrolia; and two
grandchildren, William and
Trudy Hammond of Petrolia. She
was predeceased by two daugh-
ters, Mrs. Thomas (Dorothy)
Dent, formerly of Woodstock, in
1966, and Helen Louise Hammond
(Wingham) in 1938; and by one
grandson, Bobby Hammond, in
1951. She was the last surviving
member of her family, having
also been predeceased by seven
brothers and two sisters.
The late Mrs. Hammond rested
at the R. A. Currie and Son
Funeral Hoene, Wingham, where
Rev. Glenn Noble conducted
funeral service at two o'clock on
Monday. Interment followed in
Wingham Cemetery.

Former resident
dies in Kitchener
Word was received here on the
weekend of the death of J. B.
Runstedtler of 11 Margaret Ave.,
Apt. 1108, Kitchener.
Mr. Runstedtler was a former
resident of Wingham, where he
,served for ten years as manager
of the bI'oronto-Dominion Bank.
He retired in June of 1967.
The late Mr. Runstedtler rested
at the Schrieter-Sandrock Funer-
al Home, Kitchener. Funeral ser-
vice was held Saturday.
New council to
monitor all
provincial parks
Prof. John Lewis of Wilfred
Laurier University's geography
department has been appointed
one of 18 members of the newly
formed Provincial Parks Ad-
visory Council.
Mr. Lewis has a background in
economics, geography and
planning and has served as a con-
sultant to government on recrea-
tion and park projects in Canada,
the United States and South
America. His most recent re-
search program is on provision
and development of private camp
ground areas in southern
Ontario.
Other members of the new
council have been drawn from
conservation groups, camping
associations and park boards. As
announced earlier, Dr. George
Priddle, a geographer at the
University of Waterloo, will act
as chairman.
Leo Bernier, Ontario minister
of natural resources, announced
formation of the council in the
Legislature. He said it will have a
broad mandate to monitor the
implementation of all provincial
master park plans and to advise
the government on a wide range
of public needs.
He said the council would have
the resources it needs to conduct
research nn' any matter of con-
cern and will hold meetings
throughout the province as
required. As one of its responsibi-
lities the new council will monitor
the implementation of the new
master plan for the future use of
Algonquin Provincial Park.
