BELGRAVE — A miscel-
laneous shower was held on Fri-
day evening at the home of Mi.
and Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler in
honor of their niec, Ann Wheeler
of London, bride-tobe of this
month.
Contests were enjoyed and the
guest of honor was recipient of
many lovely gifts.
WW1 was served by the
hostess, assisted by Mrs. Ross
Anderson. Guests were present
from Brussels, Lucknow,
Landon and Belgrave.

Gorrie area couple united
in pretty autumn ceremony.
In a pretty autumn setting of
orange, gold, bronze and brown
shades, Dianne M. Leader of
Palmerston became the bride of
Brian H. Bell of Wroxeter in a
candelight ceremony at seven
o'clock Saturday, November 9.
The United Church, Gorrie, was
decorated with fall leaves and
flowers and lighted orange tapers
in candelabra surrounded the
altar where Rev. W. Ball per-
formed the ceremony. Mrs. Gail
Overholt of Thedford, the soloist,
was accompanied by Mips Linda
Martin of Fordvvich.
The bride's parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Donald Leader of
Gorrie. The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bell of
Wroxeter.
Given in marriage by her
father and mOther, the bride
wore a floor -length gown of white
polyester crepe with round neck-
line and floral appliques on he
bodice and skirt. A long train
with flared inserts fell from the •
back of the skirt and a cap head-
dress, adorned with appliques to
match the dress, held her scat,
loped waist -length veil.. She
carried a white wicker horn of

BELGRAVE — The November
meeting of the Women's Mis-
sionary Society was held Tuesday
of last week in the Presbyterian
Church.
Mrs. J. C. McBurney presided
and opened the meeting with a
call to worship. "More Love to
Thee" was sung. Scripture was
read by Mrs. Mac Scott. The
meditation theme was on "Joy",
by Mrs. Walter Shortreed after
which Mrs. McBurney led in
prayer.
Mrs. Garner Nicholson took the
topic on the cOuntriof Nepal. She
read a story on two missionaries
in Nepal. The roll call was an-
swered with/ a verse about Joy.
Mrs. Shortreed brought for-
ward a motion that the officers
resume their work for 1975.
Sick and shut-in calls were •re-
corded. "Simply Trusting Every
Day" was sung and Mrs. Mc-
Burney closed the meeting with
prayer.

Members of the Lucknow Kin-
ette Club were special guests
when the Wingham Kinettes held
their November meeting Monday
night at Lee's.
Slides and a talk were pre-
sented by Kinette Jean Jones.
She gave a Very interesting ac-
count of the four summers she
spent north of Chruchill on the
Hudson Bay. Her husband, Rene,
went to this area to do research
on the habits of the Canada goose,
for the University of Western On-
tario.
Many projects are coming up
for the Kinettes in December
which is promising to be a busy
month. The shopping spree for
the children is November 30 at
the Town Hall at one o'clock. All
items are priced at $2.00 or under
and there will be lots from which
to choose.

ruffles and orange tinted bouton
nieres: The ring -bearer carried
the rings on a white heart -shaped
pillow.
A reception 'followed at the
Howick Community Centre
Where music was supplied by The
Foursome. The bride's mother
wore a dress of brown polyester
with V neckline and long sleves.
A corsage of Can Can roses com
plemented , her . ge-wn. The
grooti's mother chose a gown of
blue polyester with long sleeves
and.a lacebordered V neckline.
She wore gold accessories and a
corsage of white roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Bell will reside at
261 Main Street West, Apartment
4, Palmerston. The bride is a
nurses' aide employed by
Pleasant- Villa Nursing Home,
Palmerston. The . groom is a
mechanic employed by Harriston
Motors.
Out-of-town guests attended the
wedding from Trenton, Kit-
chener, Cambridge, Alberta,
Toronto, North Bay, Owen Sound,
Acton and Caledon. Honored
guests were the groom's grand-
mother, Mrs. Michener of Red
Deer, Alberta, and his great-
aunt, Mrs. Bellof Gorrie.

married 35 years
Mr. and Mrs..F. E, Madill were
honored on the occasion of their
35th wedding anniversary on
Sunday. Relatives, friends, and
neighbors were entertained at a
wine and cheese party by Mr. and
Mrs. Madill's sods and their
wives, Mr. and Mrs. John Madill,
Scarborough, and Mr. and Mrs.
Glen Madill, Toronto, at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson 'Thornton,
Bluevale.
Guests were present from
Peterborough, Hamilton, Tor-
onto, Midland, Lakefield, Osha-
wa, Bowmanville, Goderich and
Wingham.
