unit meeting.
BELGRAVE -- The regular
meeting of the evening Unit of the
United Church Women was held
in the church basenent with 14
present. The meeting opened
with hymn, "Fight the Good
Fight with All Thy Might".
Mrs. Robert Taylor conducted
the worship service. Meditation,
scripture reading and prayer
were given by Mrs. Taylor and
another hymn concluded the
worship service.
Mrs. Laura Johnston conduct-
ed the business. Minuted were
read and adopted. A thank you
card was read from Mrs. Clifford
Branton, thanking the'' group for
the gift which she received. Mrs.
Laura Johnston read a letter
from Miss Laura Collar stating
that she was leaving her home
Wingham to travel to Haifa for
period of, three months, later to
return to Jerusalem and continue
in her work as a missionary
there.
Mrs. Johnston then asked for as
many as could, to attend the
Presbyterial to be held in Gorrie,
October 16.
It was decided to order 25 Can-
adian church calendars for the
coming year.
Mrs. Cliff Logan had as her
theme for the program study,
"Mission Begins with WU' .
Several role plays were then
acted out. Mrs. Logan closed the
meeting with prayer.
Lunch was served by Mil. Roes
Higgins' group. The NOveembie
meeting will be held at the h+otne
of Mrs. Lewis St nsbou .
