Mrs. George Leslie ,Bryce, 86,
of Te,eswater, died Wednesday,
September 25 in • Wingham and
District Hospital following a long
illness. -
Born in Beverley Township,
Wentworth County on January 17,
1888, she was the daughter of the
late Cathcart Leslie Bryce and
his wife the former Margaret
Adams. She attended Clyde
Public School and Galt Business
College.
On January 20, 1915, she
married George Leslie Bryce in a
ceremony at the home of her
parents\ and the couple farmed
until Mr. Bryce died November
10, 1966. Mrs. Bryce retired the
following year.
Mrs. Bryce had been a member
of St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church, Wingham, and Knox
Presbyterian Church in Tees -
water.
She is survived ..by two
daughters, Mrs. Wilfrid (Peg )
Walters of RR 3, Teeswater and
Mrs. Wilfred (Grace) Gilkinson
of St. Catharines; three sons,
Leslie George Bryce of
Wingham, Gordon of Teeswater
and Arthur, RR 2, Wingham; and
nine grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one
sister, Mrs. Duncan (Sarah )
Mason of Orangeville.
Service was held at the R A.
Currie & Son Funeral Home on
Friday afternoon with interment
in Wingham Cemetery. Rev.
Robert H. Armstrong officiated.
Pallbearers were grandsons,
Don and James Bryce, Brian and
Bryce Gilkinson, Ken and Len
Walters. Granddaughters Linda
Bryce, Cathy Walters and Sharon
Gilkinson carried floral tributes.

FREEMAN—Passed away at his
home in Teeswater on Wednes-
day, September 25, Robert
George (Bert) Freeman, in his
57th year. He was the son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. William
Freeman, beloved husband of
the former Marnie Duffield. He
lived most of his life in Tees -
water, ,associated for many
years with his father who
owned a grocery store, in later
years a representative of
Mutual Fends. The • late Mr.
Freeman 'rested at the Mac-
Pherson Memorial Chapel,
Teeswater, where private serv-
ice was' held Saturday at 1:30.
Interment followed in Maple-
wood Cemetery, Durham.

ember 21, Mildred gene Bennett,
in her 77th year.
Mrs. Bennett . was born August
3, 1898, in Howick Township,
Concession 8, to the late 1 liza-
beth Darcey and Alex
Laughlin. She married Joseph
Bennett October 29, 1929, and'
resided on Concession 11, Lot 10,
Howick, until retiring to Gorrie in
1960.
She leaves . to '`'mourn,, her.
husband; two sons, William and
Bruce, both of Howick Township;
six grandchildren and six great--
granddaughters; also .one sister,
Laurel of Toronto;
Funeral service was conducted
by Rev. .Jennings and Rev.
Parker from St. Stephen's Ang-
lican Church, Gorrie, of which
she was a rhember. Pallbearers
Gere Ronald Bennett, Roland
Bennett, Gerald Brewer, Paul
Voll, Wayne King and Peter
Dinsmore.
Interment was in Wroxeter
Cemetery.
