terian Church on 'Saturday,
August 10, at 3:30o'clock. Rev. R.

church .Organ and • Miss Joan
Currie sang .`lake My Hand".
Parents of. the bride are Mr.
and Mrs.. Ferguson Riley. The
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Earl Heywood.. All'`are of. Wing -

Given in marriage • by her
father, the bride wore a floor -
length gown of white peau lie soie
featuring empire waistline, gored
• skirt, square neckline and long
full sleeves trimmed with•.Venice
lace. An attached chapel train
was trithmedwith Venice lace, as
was her long, double-layyered
French illusion 'veil which fell
from. a Juliet headpiece studded
with,: brilliants and pearls. She
carried a bouquet of white or-
chids and baby's breath.
Mrs. Tom, ' • Edwards of
Wingham• was her sister's
matron of honor. She chose a
floor -length dress of green floral
polyester, organza. A velvet sash
accented the empire waistline
and the gown featured long full
sleeves and ' a square neckline.
She carried a nosegay of white
daisies.
• In similarly styled gowns but in
shades. of yellow and mauve re-
spectively, were the brides-
maids, Margaret Riley and
Nancy Riley. Junior brides-
maids, Pam Riley and Heather
Riley, chose blue and pink. All
are of Wingham and are sisters of
the bride. They carried nosegays
of white daisies.
Cathy Cook and Jennifer Cook,
nieces of the groom, of Clinton,
were flower girls. They wore
dresses similar to that of the
matron of honor and carried
baskets of yellow and white
daisies.
Acting as best man was Don
Robb of London: Ushers were
Paul Swatridge, Randy Hafer-
mehl and Robert Armstrong of
Wingham, Brian Loree of
Hamilton. Ringbearers for the
douible-ring ceremony were
nephews of the bride, Stephen
Riehl and Kevin Riehl of
Hanover. ,•
Guests' were' received at the
Wingham Legion Hall where the
tables were decorated with
candelabra and white daisies.

British Columbia and the western
states, the bride, was wearing a
long -gown of Sahara, floral print
on a natural background. A cor-
sage of miniature red roses com-
plemented her dress.

side in Waterloo where the bride
is, a third year student at the
Wilfrid Laurier University: •

SHOWER
GORRIE - A shower for Mrs.
Marian Bast of Gorrie was held
on. Monday in the lounge of the
Fordwich Nursing Home by the
staff and friends. Mrs. George
Hamilton and Mrs. Edward
David arranged the program.
The staff presented her with a
bridge table set. Over thirty-five
attended.
-Cadet and Mrs. Bill Hender-
son,. Charles and, Cathy, have re-
turned from their summer` ap-
pointment in Nova Scotia and are
visiting their parents and family
this week before returning to the
Salvation Army Training College
on September 3.
