Wingham town police say that
both cars are beyond repair and
have set the damages at $800 to
Hayes' car and $3,300 to the
Henry vehicle.

accident occurred oma curve

of the vehicles veered into the
wrong lase.
Town police investigated an-
other accident Saturday involv-
ing Charles Hopper of Victoria St.
Mr. Hopper was travelling east
on Victoria St. when he lost
control of his ear and slammed
into a hydro poleon the south side
of the street. Damages have been
set at 8500 for the car and OM for
the hydro pole which was
destroyed.
On April 17, JamesFitzpatrick
of Wingham was charged with
assault causing bodily harm after
•Evelynn Sinton of Wingham
reported the incident to Wingham
police. Mr. Fitzpatrick was taken
to Walkerton jail to await trial.
Ken Crawford of Wingham was
charged with trespassing on
April 17, after be was asked to
leave .the ►Ianor Hotel and he
refused. Police were called and
Mr. Crawford .was taken into
custody: .
Over the past week Wingham
police„laid 18 charges under the
Highway Traffic Act, nine for
speeding and four for careless
driving as well as laying six
charges under the Liquor Control
Act.

was treated in Wingham hospital
for a cut right knee April 20. She
injured the knee when .she fell
from a motorcycle 'she was rid-
ing. She was released after treat-
ment. •

by the Wingham Association for
the Mentally Retarded. Anne
Machan won the prize for the
