Rodgers, formerly of Kirkland Lake, on Saturday, April 13. The ceremony took place at Emmanuel United Church, Englehart, with Rev. Kenneth Lowe officiating. Miss Donna McFarlane, Engle- hart, was organist. Douglas Inglis of RR 2, Clifford, sang "Welcome to my World" and Miss Judy Allen of Mani- touwadge�sang "We've Only Just Beg The bride was given in mar- riage by her father. She wore a floor length dress of SwisS lace over polyester crepe trimmed with baby seer pearls. The dress featured a high collar, ' ruffled bodice and a self train. Her white wide -brimmed hat was trimmed with pink ribbon and she carried a bouquet of white roses and pink rosebuds. Her attendants were Miss Helen Ecksworth of Ottawa as maid of honor; Misses Beverley Thomas of Don Mills and Dunne Brown of Gorrie as bridesmaids. They wOre floor length gowns of hot pink with matching ruffles on flowered bodices of polyester crepe. They wore white wide - brimmed hats trimmed with pink ribbon and carried baskets of white• and pink rosebuds. The flower girl, a . niece of the bride, was Julie Gibson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sandy Gibson of Gorrie. She was attired in a dress similar to the bridal gown and carried a basket of white and pink rosebuds. Mrs. Don McAdam presided, and having opened the meeting in the proper manner, called on the secretary, Mrs. Don Wallace, to read the minutes of the 1972-1973 annual meeting. Reports were presented by the officers,- and. committee con- e report of -the nominating committee was read by Mrs. Don Eadie. Chairman for the election, Mrs: David Eadie, declared all offices vacant, and called for a motion for a secretary. Mrs. Don Wal- lace acted in this office. Mrs. Earl Anderson opened the meeting with an Easter prayer followed by the hymn, "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross". The treasurer's and secretary's reports were given. Offering and visits to sick and shut-ins were received. Mrs. Anderson gave the Bible study from Psalm 6 whichwas read in unison, The ladies were asked to studysalm 7 for the next meeting. " fl'here Is a Green Hill Far Away'" was sung. Mrs. Bolt tock the Bible read- ing on the Easter story. Mrs. Cecil Coultes then read some im- portant parts from a book of Catherine Marshall where her husband Peter had written 96 sermons on an Easter topic. The ladies have been invited to attend the Easter Thahkoffering on April 18 of the WMS of the Presbyterian Church. The meeting closed with the Lord's prayer in unison and Mrs. Cecil Coultes served a, tasty lunch. Mrs. Hazel Procter thanked the hostess for the lunch and her home.
