Alex Inglis and Mrs. Betty Flannigan attended the funeral on Tuesday. This community was saddened to learn on Thursday that Mrs. R. D. A. Currie, wife of Rev. R. D. A. Currie who ministered in White- church from 1949 to 1954, had passed away in a car accident Wednesday evening when return- ing home after attending the synodical meeting in dhesley. The community extends sincere sympathy to Rev. Currie and family. This community extends to Mrs. George Wadel and family sympathy in the passiyg. of Mr. Wadel whose funeral was -held on Monday at Teeswater. Paul Laidlaw of Guelph University spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw. He accompanied Mr, and Mrs. Uoyd Murdock to Guelph as they returned to Tor- onto. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Woodley, Matt, VicId, Valerie and Gary were recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Steer and Mr. and Mrs. Don Bell. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Young and Karen and Mrs. VIM Young visited on Sunday with Mrs. Broome of Huronview, Clinton. Garry and Gayle Rintoul spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Rintoul and family at King. ' Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ryan of Goderich were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mc- Clenaghan. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Mc- Clenaghan of Kitchener spent the weekend with Mrs. Lillian Me» Clenaghan. Visitors on Sunday with Wilfred Clipperton, John and Mrs. Bessie Mullis were Mrs. Ruby Bloor, Mr. and Mrs. Don Smily, Kathy and Debbie of Kitchener. Eddie de Boer visited on the weekend with his friend, Gareth Jones of Dungannon. *Visitors on the weekend and on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Russel J McGuire were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bramhill and Diane of Pal- merston, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Marriner of Fordwich, Mr. and Mrs. Larry McGuire and Ipm- berley of Elmira. Mr. and Mrs. Dawson Craig :have sold their farm and are having a sale of farm stock and machinery. They will move to tke house of the late Russel \Ritchie which they have purchased. Mrs. Dawson gave a reading entitled "Tongues" and Mrs. geriald Coultes led in prayer. The hymn, "This Is My Father's World", was sung after which the offering was received and .dedicated ,by Mrs. Dawson. Mrs.- Peter Chandler then spoke to the group on the life of Dr. Norman Bethune, using pas- sages from "The Scalpel and the Sword", concerning his work.
