The Whiteoaks of Jalna returns to CBC -TV on Saturday nights
at 8:30 p.m., beginning April 20. In 13 one-hour episodes It
tells the story of the Whiteoak family, a Canadian dynasty
created by author Maio de la Roche in her well-known series
of. novels. In front of Jalna, their early Canadian homestead,
the two stars of the Whiteoak family, Renny (Paul Harding) and
Gran (Kate Reid) are pictured. The scene recalls the horse and
carriage era in which the series is largely set.
