Jean's Hawks are still in the
lead, now at 101 points. But they
have nothing to brag about, be-
cause, Baxter's Bluejays worked
hard last week and broke the
second place tie when they ad-
vanced to 98 points. The
Canaries, bearing Connie's
name, are now third with 96.
Breathing down their feathers
are Schneider's Swallows at 95;
Shirley's Swans have 88 and the
Jenny Wrens remained at 41.
Ruth Ann Steffen had good
luck, coming up with a 268 single
and 616 triple. Frank. Burke had
the men's high single of 296 and
Francis Merkley bad a good 709
triple.

In the Minor Atom Tournament
in Mildmay, the Squirts won their
first game over Ripley by a score
of 6-1 with Murray Mawhinney
.scoring four goals and Allan Kief-
fer and Doug Busby with one
each. In their second game they
had a 4-1 victory over Mildmay.
David Eadie scored two goals for
Belmore and Murray Mawhinney
and Doug Busby each had one.
Belmore defeated Tiverton 5-4 in
their third match with Murray
Mawhinney scoring four goals
and Doug Busby getting \ one.
Lion's Head eliminated the
Squirts by a score of 9-1 in their
fourth game. Murray Mawhinney
scored for Belmore. Congratula-
tions to Murray for this was his
102 goal of the season. He also re-
ceived an award as most val-
uable player in the tournament.

It is always with regret that all

A MINISTRY OF NATURAL RESOURCES rink won the
Industrial League Preside'nt's Trophy to curling action at
the Wingham Curling Club a week Ago Wedhesdlzy. The
winning rink beat out representatives from CKNX, Stanley
Door and the Bank of Commerce to take the trophy. The
Ministry rink included Brian Walton, lead; Dave Ablett,
skip; Ray DesRoches, third and Lorne Campbell, second.
The rink was presented' with its trophy by Ray Walker.
