ing of St. Stephen's Guild was,
held at the home of Roland Ben-
nett. The meeting opened with a
hymn, p followed by the Lord's
Prayer. The roll call was an-
swered by 12 members.

each presented a reading. A con-

Central Public Speaking Contest
held by the Lions Club. Miss
Karen Fitch, daughterof Mr. and,
Mrs. Earl Fitch spoke on "Com-
mercials", and Miss Shirley
Versteeg, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Versteeg gave her
speech on. "My Family".
The girls were thanked and
presented with suitable gifts.
The remainder of the evening
was spent in progressive. euchre.

Eight girls were present for the
first meeting of the Wroxeter I
Club, held at the home of Mrs.
George Adams on Saturday
evening. The leaders are Mrs.
Adams and Mrs. Glen Mc-
Michael.
The name chosen for the club
was the Powder Puffs. Officers
elected were: president, Carol
Adams; vice president, Susan
Adams; secretary, rotating;
press reporter, Vicki Bradshaw.
Mrs. Adams discussed the topic

with maxivan
On Monday, March 25th, a bus
was presented to Huronview by
the Huronview Auxiliary, the
presentation being made by Mrs.
Wilfrid Colclough, president of
the Auxiliary, to Anson McKin-
ley, chairman of the Huronview
Committee of Management.
Mrs. Colclough spear -headed a
very successful campaign by the
Auxiliary to raise the funds for
the purchase of the vehicle.
The bus is a 'Dodge maxivan,
purchased from J & T Murphy
Ltd., Clinton. The van has been
fitted with an extended roof and a
wheel -chair lift which is elec-
trically operated. It will carry
nine persons, four of whom can
remain right in their wheel-
chairs.

ment and staff of Huronview join
the ladies of the Huronview
Auxiliary in heartfelt thanks to
the following people and groups,
whose very generous donations
made the "Rides for Residents"
campaign a complete success.
AUBURN — The third and
fourth meetings of Mirror
Mooners, Auburn II 4-11 club was
held Monday in Donnybrook
United Church. Meeting three
opened with the 4-H pledge then
the roll call. which was,. "One
good grooming habit I practise".
Members discussed their trip
to the Ice Capades in two weeks.
The demonstration Was on
storage. Each had to take pic-
tures for this, and after looking at
them held a discussion. Marie
Empey closed the meeting.
The fourth meeting's roll call
was "One aid that will improve
storage for my bedroom".
Shelves was the most common
answer. Members chose an idea
for a cover and each is to take her
own version.
Marie Empey and Mrs. Ed-
ward Robinson talked about
, storage resources and how to im-
prove one's storage. In groups of
two:members were supplied with
pictures of clothes and then dis-
cussed whether they should be
folded or hung up.

to the Alcohol Concerns to help
this worthy cause.
The choir rendered two an-
thems, "Blessed Jesus Answers
Prayer" and• "Come and Praise
the Lord". Rev. George Sach led
