Stone School eliminated Ford-
wich in a great come -from -
behind effort and moved on to the
WOAA "D" finals. .
In their last game against
Fordwich, Stone, started out
slowly with Foxdich jumping
into a 5-0 lead. Then Stone began
to move, Grant Coultes scoring
twice and Don Edgar and Jim
English each scoring singles.
Fordwich answered with two
goals, going ahead. 7-4.
In the final period Stone kept
working away with Larry Robin-
son, Don Edgar and Niel. Bieman
scoring. With only one minute left
in the game Brian Black scored
to make the final score 8-7.
In the opening game 'of the
WOAA "D" finals Stone School
got off to a good start by taking a
4-2 victory from Floradale. The
star of the game had to be Keith
Elston ° who stopped almost
everything in sight, including
•three breakaways.
Floradale took the lead in the
first period but in the second
Grant Coultes and Ken Henry
scored. In the third Stone went
ahead 3-1 on a goal by Bruce Cor-
rigan. Then Nyle Baumann of
Floradale picked up a marker to
make it 3-2, but Tom Black put in
the capper with only 15 seconds
left, to assure Stone School of the
win.
Bowling
COMMERCIAL LEAGUE
All the way, it was Ruth Baxter
and Frank Burke. Ruth had the
high single of 247 and high triple
of 629 for the gals; Frank's 306
and 726 were high for the guys.
'Jean's Hawks remain on the
top of the totem pole with 88
points., But, upset the fruit
basket, Shirley's Swans moved
into second place, at 82 shoving
Connie's Canaries into third
place with 79. Schneider's Swal-
lows have 78, Baxter's Bluejays
76 and the Jenny Wrens moved up
two points to 32.

On Tuesday evening White-
church 441 club, with the project,
"Taking a Look at Yourself", met
at the home of Mrs. Walter El-
liott, leader. Mrs. Archie Purdon
is assistant leader. The members
are Kathy and Lori Purdon,
Nadine Farrish and Mary Lou
Milligan. The president is Nadine
Farrish. Mary Lou Milligan is
press reporter. The meeting dealt
with character analysis charts.

The Flintstones and the Yogi
Bears each took five points in
bowling last week, but the Pea-
nuts are still in first place with 91
points. The Flintstones are sec-
ond with 75 points; the Road Run-
ners third with 72 points and Yogi
Bears fourth with 66.
Jean King bowled the 340 high
single and the 928 high triple.
