The Commission will be chair- ed by: J„Stefan Dupre, Professor of Political Economy at the Uni- versity of Toronto, with mem-, bers: R. E. Alden, General b. dustrial Relations Manager, of the Steel Co. of Canada and A. S. Tirrell; former labor official and labor consultant. The Commission will also have a•,staff of technical experts Whp will be able to supply technica l data to the members. Mr. Guindon said the Corn - mission will inquire, into and re- •porton: —the standards of compensa- tion applicable to employees of hospitals under The Public Hos- pitals Act and the relationship of these standards to comparable work in other categories of v • employment in Ontario; —the appropriate criteria which should be applied to the determinate')n of such compensa- tion; —the feasibility and desirabil--; ity of collective bargaining being conducted on a level other than, an individual hospital; and -=the desirability of establish- ing a resource centre for develop- ing and publishing statistical data relevant to such bargaining.
