arena and showed no mercy,
routing them 10-1.
Wingham scored three goals in
the first period and they all came
from the stick of Doug Merkley.
Doug, up from the house league,.
has'only played 10 games with the
PeeWees.
In the second period Wingham
chalked up three more. Scott Mc-
Gregor, Paul' Foxton and Keith
Cameron did the honors. That
period ended without a tally from
Clinton 6-0.
At 8:50 of the final period Clin-
ton managed to score. The Wing -
ham - boys were determined to •
widen the margin and notched up
four more goals in the last 10 -
minutes. Goals were picked up by
Larry Milosevic, Ken Hopper,
Mark Passmore, and Tom
Remington.

On Monday night they were
beaten by the Canadian Tire
CanadiansW0._ Steven Walker, in
goal for the Leafs, stopped a
number Of scoring threats, but
his superb play could not keep
Geoff Hamilton from scoring a
Canadian Tire tally late in the
third Period.
CKNX Hawks came up with
their best effort of the season to
down the Police Leafs - -6-2 on
Thursday. Brian Hoy started the
scoring and put the Leafs up 1-0.
But the lead was short lived as
the Hawks....bounced back and
skated the Leafs into the ice.
CKNX's scorers were Sheldon
Baker, Robbie - Strong, Ron
Schistad, Mike Rits;kes, Scott
Cornwall and John Leedham .
David Montgomery led the assist
parade with two. Robbie Alton
got the other Leaf marker on a
pass from Jeff -Moore.
The playoffs will start Feb. 28,
and the teams in each series will
depend on who conies out on top
of, a tie for, second place. The
Canadians trail the Bruins by one
game with two more games to go.
