His name has already been placed on the dotted line and preparations will be getting underway soon. The show will be seen (in prime time, yet ) on the full CBC Tele- vision network and thougb it will be produced in the CBC Edmon- ton studios. it will include pro- grams filmed on location and in studios in every province in the country. The series will include' 26 half-hour shows. 21 original shows and five repeats. The series will, of course, be country-and-western in flavour. featuring many' cif his own songs and many new songs.he will write especially for the show. His fam- ous thumping -board will no doubt be the star of the show' Special guests. from the areas he visits. will perform with him and Many of the shows will utilize the nat- ural beauty of the locale. Don McRae will prodtke the series and Connors will be backed by his two regular c6horts, Bill Lewis and Gary Empey. Connors has been enjoying a great deal of success in recent months, success whicfisonly grew . after the CBC network showed his marriage ceremony which took place on the Elwood Glover show, "Luncheon Date", on November 2.' Maybe now Connors wi)l,invite Glover to his show; since he no doubt has a wife, perhaps he could marry off one of his kids! Seriously, though, it's been a ahetthrdfvieght for Torn ; 1 hope he can ie the success he •craves here' in Canada, without heading south of the border. 9:00 Friendly Giant 10 Yoga 13 - 9:10 Ontario Schools 10 9:30 Ladies' Fare 13 10;30 Mr o Dressup 8 and 10 ,• Pay Cards 13 11:00 Sesame Street 8 and 10 Eye Bet 13 11:30 Ed Allen 8 Galloping Gourmet 13 12:00 Lassie 8 Cartoons 10 and 13 12:30 News 8 and Let's Make a Deal 13- 12:45 Movie 'Trouble Along the Way 10 • 1:00 Movie 'Dr. Strangelove'. • 8 Hollywood Squares 13 . 1;30 -Beat the Clock 13 2:00 Anything You Can Do 13 2:30 Dic1013erryman. 10 Somerset 13 • • 3:00 Take Thirty 8 and 10 Another World 13 • -About Seg 6 •. 3:30 Edge of Night 8 and 10. • Whats the Good Word 1 - How to Survive n Mar - nage 6: 400 Funily Court 8 and 14 • Flintstones 13 • • Everything Goes 6 • 4:30 Drop4n"8.and 10 Gilligan's Island- 13 5:00 My Three Sons 8 Dick Van Dyke 10 • Ponderosa 13 5:30 Truth, Consequences 8 • -Paul Lypde'Show 10 Doctor in 'the House 6 6:00 News 6, 8 and 10 Sean 13 • • 6:25 Global Post 6 6:30 Gunsmoke 8 News 10 Brady Bunch 13 Cowboys 6 7:00 Emergency 10 Bowling for Dollars 13 Movie 'Kansas City Bomber' 6, 7:30 Who Am I 8 Let's Make a Deal 13 8:00 This Land .1.0 , Hockey 13 ' 8:30 Special 'Macbeth' 8, 10 900 Musicamera 8 and 10 Doc Elliott'6 10:00 West 8 an 10 'Dirty Sally 10:30 Sports Beat '74 • 13 Tommy Banks 10 Countrytime 8 • News 6 10:45 Every -thing "Goes 6 11:00 National New j4 11:20 News, Weather, Sports 8, 10 and 13 11:45 Movies 'Sands of Iwo Jima' 8; 'Our Man in Jamaica' 10 12:00 Movie 'The Champagne Murders' 13 1:45 Concern 13 'Tis Show Biz by Vonni Lee We are sure -living in a sick so- ciety when one of the most pop- ular motion pictures of the year is an erotic degrading piece of gar- bage like "Last Tango in Paris".
