Nine guns
shown to
Musketeers
The Wingham Scout Muske-
teers held their gun course on the
19th, with Terry Nethery in-
structing the boys on how to
handle guns in the field. The
active 20 Sdcouts enrolled also had
the' privilege of having Dave
Cameron bring nine different
guns for viewing. He gave an
explanation as to the age and
function of each.
Last Saturday, guest of the
Musketeers Was . Blake Smith of
the local Ministry of Natural', Re-
sources, who gave an interesting
talk on safe gun handling' and
instruction, complete with
demonstrations. He explained the
reasons for open and closed sea-
sons and described other rules
,and the function of the Ministry.
Marty Cretier, at the opening of
the meeting, quizzed the begs on
previous instruction. 1
Any parents interested in this
course who can add any further
information about gun displays,
etc., are asked to contact Mr.
Rintoul. All interested parents
are urged to attend.
