In other business,it wasdecid-
ed to establish a committee to
study the restructuring of county
government. inceSit was felt that
the province will impose restruc-
turing if nothing is done locally,
the members and directors
thought it wise to be well in-
formed of what can be expected
esident DougFortune an-
nounced that a telegram has been
sent to Queen's Park opposing the
imposition of daylight savings
time.
In another move, the county
Federation decided to lodge
strong protests against the unac-
ceptably long delays by. the
lawyers and others responsible
for the- granting of mortgages by
the farm credit corporation in
Huron County. Some farmers
cocomplainedthat it .was nearly
impossible to buy or sell e. farm if
FCC was involved, as the waiting
period runs in some cases to a
whole year.

ed with the breaking of the flag.
Inspection was made and dues
were collected. Then there was a
knotting challenge and • those
Scouts who had their ropes put on
the boots and coats and went out-
side to answer it. The object was
to tie specified knots and then
pull a counsellor over a finishing
line. The Cobra Patrol *on.
Then the Scouts ran around the
block and went inside to warm
up. The flag was lowered and the
Scouts went home.
Last month the Honour Staff
was won by Thunder Patrol but
