The late George Thompson
passed away Tuesday, December
18, at . the Wingham and District
Hospital following a brief illness.
He was in his 68th year. .
Born in Collingwood Township,
Grey County, he was a son of the
late Joseph Thompson and Alice
Roy. He was educated at Fever -
sham and farmed in his earl life.
In later years he was employed
as an electrician. He came to the
Whitechurch area in 1963.
Mr. Thompson was a member
of the Whitechurch United
Church and the • Wingham
Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Muriel Watt, whom he
married in Whitechurch in 1952;
two sons, Charles and Earl, both
at home; two brothers, Roy
Thompson of Nottawa, Ontario,
and Clayborne Thompson of
Fevershm; and one sister, Mrs.
Ernest (Eunice) Batchelor of RR
2, Proton.

passed away at the Wingham and
District Hospital on' Tuesday,
December 18, following an illness
. of eight weeks.
Born in Wingham, Mr. Hutton
was ' a son of the late Thomas
James Hutton and Annie Maude
Smith. He received his education
fn Wingham and in his early life
Was a yard • foreman at Lloyd
Sash and Door. In recent years he
was a custodian at the Wingham
District High School. •
The, late Mr. Hutton was a
valued member of the Wingham
Corps 'of. the Salvation Army.
• He is survived by his wife, the
former Mae Eliza Vincent, whom
he married in Clinton' on Febru-
ary 28, 1938; one son, Paul L.
Hutton of Kincardine arid one
daughter, Linda M. Hutton of
Durham; and three grand-
idbildren. Also Surviving are six
brothers, E. Kirkwood of Belle
River, Ontario. James S. of Tor-
onto, Roland B. of Detroit, Lloyd
W. of Kincardine„ Harold L. of
Wingham and Wallace E. of Lon-
don,. and one ,istet, Mrs. die
M. Mundell of Hamilton.
The late Mr. Hutton rested at
the S. J. Walker Funeral Home,
Wingham, urftil Thursday, De-
cember 20, when service was
conducted at 2 p.m. by Captain J.
Cameron df the Salvation Army.
Tribute was paid the deceased in
a eulogy delivered by Corps Ser-
geant-Major Bill Henderson. In-
terment followed in Wingham
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Hut-
ton, Lloyd Hutton, Clare Vincent,
Norman Vincent, Jack Brewer
and Herman McPhee. Harold
Hutton carried floral tributes.
