for the girls; her high single was
141 and high double was 276. For
the boys it was Rick MacLennan
with a 192 single and a 322 double.
Michael Hull had a fine 160
game and Rick MacLennan's
other single was a good 150.

MacLaurin for the juniors;
Peggy had a single of 196 and a

FOUR STEPS TO
STARDOM TOURNAMENT
The Seniors travelled to Han-
over for their next step in the
Four 'Steps to Stardom Tourna-
ment on Sunday afternoon. The
senior boys' team from Clinton
took top honors with 3037 points;
Collingwood was second. Ron
Lalonde of Collingwood rolled the
high triple of 683. Terry Sallows
of Wingham, bowling as a single,
had a high triple of 591 to put him
in fifth place. Bowlers from Col-
lingwood„ Goderich, Wingham,
.gliplonKincardineJ and ,Zurich
rcompeted. , • -
In the senior girls' division,
Debbie Johnston, of Clinton was
the winner over girls from Col-
lingwood, Goderich and Kincar=
dine. Her three -game total was
640. The Collingwood girls' team
won with 2515 points; Ointon- was
second with -2213.
The Juniors tompeted at Owen
Sound when Wingham bowlers
competed against bowlers from
WalkertOn, Listowel, Kincardine,
Zurich, Owen Sound, Coiling -
wood, Goderich, Clinton and Han-
over.

The junior girls' team missed
winning the zone championship
by ten points. Their 2423 points
lost to 2433 scored by the Walkerton team. Members of the local
team were Nancy King, Peggy
Tervit, Joan Cerson, Elizabeth
Wehmeyer and- Rhonda Lee: .
The junior boys' team came
fourth with 2509 points. Coiling -
wood boys were the ,winners with
2854 points.
All winners advance now to the
provincial finals in Scarborough
March 10 and 11. '

given is a total pin fall for three

BELGRAVE — Karol Gal-
braith as chairman welcomed the
parents and pupils to the Grade 6
assembly held February 14, in
East Wawanosh Public School
under the direction of Their
teacher, Mrs. Mary Chamney.
The assembly was opened by
singing, "0 Canada", folk:Wed by
the 23rd Psalm and the Lord's
prayer by all pupils of Grade 6.
"Grandma's Valentine" was
sung by the girls, Next followed a
• dance, 'The French Minuet", of
eight couples which was enjoyed
by all..
"The Lilac Tree" was sung
first in English then in French. A
safety play was presented with
• all pupils taking part arid Trudy
Tayloras reader. '
The adsembly closed with "God
Save the Queen".
