The Adinissions and Dischar-

With•the problem of patients stay-
ing in bosPital longer than the,
tinte aeeeptable by Ministry
standards. However, it was also
Pnin _ted out that at tines there is
• irniy uo other place for -patients

: sittintiOn at a nursing home at
Lucknow where the Health
Ministry had cut the number of
bedsfor patient use from 30 to 24.
Tbe rooms are still there but are
fractionally smaller than the

- Main unoccupied. Ministry of-

• the rules in eiceptional cases but
Were adamant in their refusal to
. do so.
Auxiliary
Mrs. K. M. MacLennan,
reporting for the Hospital
Auxiliary, said that there had
been a capping ceremony for the
"candy stripers" -the volunteer
helpers who have been doing so
•much to aid in patient care and
comfort. Several registered
nurses have been assisting the
Auxiliary in its work with
patients who come to the cancer
clinics.
Mrs. MacLennan also acitnowl-
edged the gift of a "wonderful"
box of donations from the Tees -
water Rebekahs for the gift case
operated by the Auxiliary at the
hospital as a money -raising ven-
ture. She said most of the items
were so attractive that they have
already been sold.
The St. Helens Women's
Auxiliary will hold a candy sale
at the hospital in March to assist
the Auxiliary.
Mrs. Morrey reported that an
insurance claim had been paid in
the amount of $251.19 for light-
ning damage to the radio an-
tenna. It was also decided by the
board to increase the hospital's
liability policy of insurance from
$1 million to $2 million coverage.
A Mater policy will also be
placed on hospital equipment
which may be accidentally
damaged or broken in the course
of regular use.

picture of this little fellow, George Holborn, holdinVa big

little help with his lunker; but George managed to hold on.
The fish, one nine pounds and the other 121/2 pounds,
measured about 30 inches each. The fattest one medsured 19

due to lack of the white stuff),
certainly enough to make their

On Friday evening, a skating
