Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rintoul,
accompanied by Mr. and Mrs.
Mack Cardiff of Brussels, visited
on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Gutoskie and Michelle of
Kitchener.
Monday evening Mr. and Mrs.
Carman Whytock and Jackie
visited with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Alex Whytock of Teeswater
and his aunt, Mrs. P. Whytock of
Manitoba, visiting with them..
Mr; "aid Mrs. Neil Rintoul and
Steven attended Nile anniversary
service on Sunday and visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hayden.
Mr. and Mrs. Garry Jamieson
of Wingham were Sunday visitors
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Carl Weber and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Conn on
Sunday visited with Mrs. Russel
Ross and Mrs. Earl Caslick at
Walkerton hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Coultes
and Mrs. Cecil Coultes were in
London on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs.
Ronald Coultes visited with
Russel Ross and her father, Earl
Caslick, at Victoria Hospital.
Mrs. Cecil Coultes visited with
her husband at another hospital.
He expected to get home on Mon-
day.
Mrs. A. E. Purdon on Monday
had the stitches removed • at
Wingham from the cut in her.
head which site received when
she fell.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott and
Mrs. Gordon Elliott and Mrs. iGa-
braith, both of Wingham attended
the wedding of Bruce Elliott of
Ailsa Craig and Lenore' 'Suther-
land'at Strathroy United Church
on Saturday at 2 p.m. The recep-
tion was held at Bandi Restau-
rant on Highway 22.
Mr. and `Mrs. Mervyn Pipe of
Brussels were Saturday evening
visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Coultes.
Many in the community were
pleased to hear Mrs. Jim Pater -
son's voice on radio from Kitch-
ener one day last week when she
was a dinner winner for free
dinners at the Twin Gables, Lis-
towel. Mr. Paterson is a native of
Whitechurch area and they are
frequent visitors here.
Qn Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Russel
McGuire accompanied her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clendon
Bramhill, and Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Bramhill of Palmerston to Pon-
tiac, Michigan, to attend the fu-
neral of Rev.. W. Mansel Mc-
Guire, who passed away at St.
Petersburg, Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Moore,
Linda, Cindy and Richard at-
tended the ball game Saturday
evening at St. Marys.
Congratulations to Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Moore of Riversdale .on
the arrival of a baby girl October
12 at Walkerton hospital. Mr. And
Mrs. Moore are frequent visitors
with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Moore
and family.
Robert Mowbray was in Brant-
ford on Saturday to attend the
wedding of his granddaughter,
Cathy Seddon.
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Tiffin and
Barry visited Saturday evening
with Mr. and Mrs. Bevin Tiffin
and Stephen.
Mrs. Tom Inglis and Betty and
John Inglis of Vancouver spent
the weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Mack Inglis of Highgate. .
Attending Belgrave PresbYter-
ian Thankoffering meeting on
Wednesday were Mrs. Dawson
Craig, Mrs. Frank Coulter, 1lrlrs.
Robert Ross, Mrs. Victor Wy n-
ga and Mrs. Victor Emerson.
The Kindergarten . boys and
girls wrote a' story to tell us of
some of last week's activities.
The story they wrote was picking
apples.
Picking Apples
On Friday, October 13, we went
out to an apple orchard and there '
we filled two baskets of apples.
We each ate an apple which
tasted very good. When we got
back to school we made apple-
sauce. We planted the • seeds
which carne out ,orthe apples.
Grade 1 and 2
At 9:30 ItVedriesday morning we
set out for a walk across the
meadows and through creeks. We
went through the woods collect-
ing bark and autumn leaves from
the trees. The older boys waded
in the creek and caught crayfish.
We had a going -away party for
Matthew Holy who is moving t
the Barbados.
Grade 3 and 4
We went on a nature hike with
grades 1 and 2. We had a going
away party for Matthew's Sister
Sarah. After the hike we did proj-
ects on what we saw and did.
WHITECHURCH— Ten mem-
bers attended the meeting at the
home of leader Mrs. Walter El-
liott. President Janet Adams was
in charge and minutes were read
by Kathy Wybenga. Roll call was
answered by choosing a name for
the club which is the Salad
