Personal Notes from Whitechurc
Callers on Mr. and Mrs. Draw-•
son Craig and Mr. and Mrs. Alex
Craig on Sunday were Hugh and
Ronald McBurney and Jim
Robertson. Hugh McBurney is
from Northern Quebec, Ronald
from Hamilton and Jim Robert-
son from Land2n.
Leroy Rintoul of Kettleby and
Craig Massey of Unionville
brought eight head of Charolais
cattle owned by Orville Osborne,
for whom Leroy works, to Tees -
water Fair. They received vari-
ous prizes, among them being
grand champion prize for bull.
The cattle were brought to Tees -
water from Simcoe Fair. On,
Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs.1
t.eroy Rintoul, Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Massey, Unionville, Mr. and Mrs.
Orville Osborne, owner of the
cattle, all attended the reception
of Mr, and Mrs. Leonard Robin-
son (Doris Rintoul) . Tom Massey
was a close friend of the manager
of Belgrave Co-op, whom he met
at the reception: Another friend is
Bob Bregman of Langside, whom
he also visited. Mr. Massey is a
feed lot manager.
On Friday Mrs. Douglas Con-
ley, Wingham, accompanied by
Mrs. Wallace Conn and Mrs. Ro-
bert Ross visited in London at
Victoria Hospital with Russel
Ross and Earl Caslick. Mrs. Ross
remained in London overnight
with Misses Barbara and Jean
Campbell. She visited the
patients Saturday morning and
returned home in the afternoon
with Misses Campbell and
friends enroute to spend the
weekend at Red Bay.
Mr. and Mrs. Herb Hunter and
Trevor of London and Alma
Conn, Toronto, were holiday visi-,,
tors with Mr. and Mrs. Wallace
Conn.
Dave Gibb is a patient in Wing -
ham and District Hospital.
On Sunday Whitechurch and
Binbrook softball juvenile teams
played at Wingham diamond.
They tied at nine innings, 3-3.
They played 14 innings with a
score 4-3 for Whitechurch. This is
for OASA title.
Visitors on Sunday with Miss
Annie Kennedy of Wingham were
Mrs. Bolt, Mrs. Irwin and Ken-
neth Purvis of Mitchell.
Mrs. Earl Caslick at Walkerton
Hospital, is able to be up and
walking around. Mrs. Russel
Ross had a cast on the leg but had
w have it removed. At Victoria
Hospital Russel Ross, also an
accident victim, was removed
from intensive care on the week-
end. Earl Casliek w s left in
intensive care, but is holding his
own.
Home for the holiday weekend

Laidlaw, Goderich; Mary Lou
Wall, London; Joyce Tiffin, Lon-
don; Janette Johnston, London;
Irene De Boer, Stratford; John
Gibb, Walkerton .and Charles
Thompson, Walkerton.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson
were in Lucknow on Tuesday
were Mrs. Emerson attended the
U.C.W. meeting of Unit 2 and Vic-
tor visited with John Wraith.
Elwood Groskorth•and Carman
Whytock were in Toronto on
Thursday where Carman had a
check-up.
Wilford Clipperton, Mrs. Bessie
Mulliss and Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Tiffin on Fridday attended Sim-
coe Fair and visited with Mrs.
Mulliss' sister, Mrs. Margaret
Cousins at Thamesford. Joan
accompanied them home.
Mr. a.nd Mrs. Art Dawson of
London were Saturday visitors
with Miss Annie Kennedy of
Wingham.
Henry and Rudi Wybenga of
Bowmanville spent the Thanks-
giving holiday with their paxenfs,.

Congratulations to Randy Scott
who won grand championship at
Teeswater fair for his Brown
Swiss calf and second for show-
manship. He won first in com-
petition for all Bruce County
connection with 4-H work. Pats
Scott won first for .her Jersey
calf, second in showmnnship and
third when competing for Jerseys
in Bruce County 4-H.
JUNIOR BEEF HEIFER—Tim Thornton of RR.2, Gorrie, won a second and third prize
with his junior beef heifer in the 4-H show at the Howick Fall Fair held in Fordwich Satur-
day. With cold winds prevailing, Tim kept his calf warm with a bright red blanket.
