French spent the weekend at Galt, where they attended a meeting of the Canadian Wrens, the women's. branch of the Royal Canadian Navy. On Sunday afternoon they were present at the unveiling of a five-foot high statue of a Wren, made by a 'former Wren who is now a sculptor, The statue, com- memorating tlhervices of the Wren organization during the war, is placed in front of the new public library. About 800-1,000 at- tended the unveiling and the re- ception which followed. One season of winter driving can put a lot of years on a car.
