Howick Fair

cided upon.
The Saugeen Midway will be in
attendance. Five field crop"
competitions were finalized. The
new 4-H Pony Club will be spon-

Elmer Hater, will be invitqdto
open the Fair, October 7 in ord-
wich.
It was decided to sponsor a
"Mutt (dog) Show''; national,
costiime, nursery rhyme. and
comic costume contest, and
decorated bicycles will be in the
parade
A contribution was sent to the
agriculture office at Clinton to
help sponsor 4-11 club membersin
the Michigan Exchange Pro -
,gram.

MORE THAN 400 SWIMMERS registered so far for swimming at Wingham District Cen-
tennial Pool, but few had actually braved the chill winds for a dip by Monday evening
when bright sun finally tempted several dozen of the hardier youngsters in the after -
supper session. Water temperature was about 60 degrees, but the chill factor felt like zero
