Members of Langside and Chalmers Church sessions, ac- companied by their wives, met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Wybenga on Friday evening. The men held their meeting while the ladies visited with Mrs. Wyben- ga. Mrs. Russel McGuire, Mrs. Dan Tiffin, Mrs. John Currie, Mrs. Tom Metcalfe and Mrs. Vic- tor Emerson met at -the home of Miss Merle. Wilson, Wingham, on Monday evening to prepare the 1972-73 program for the White- church WI. Mrs. Ruby. Cranston of Goder- , ich visited with Mrs. Lillian Mc-, Clenaghan and attended the Uni- ted Church anniversary services. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Parker, Bev- erley and her friend of Lucan visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ben McClenaghan and Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClenaghan. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin McClenaghan of Kitchener also visited with them. Mrs. M. McClenaghan's father passed away two weeks ago. Percy McClenaghan is now employed at Listowel and will be moving there shortly. On Wed- nesday afternoon he visited with his grandmother, Mrs. Lillian McClenaghan. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Gaunt were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Currie, Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shell of Tillsonburg were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Gibb and family. On Sunday, June 25, there will be no church or Sunday School at Chalmers Presbyterian Church, it being anniversary at Langside. Guest speaker will be Rev. William Henderson. Service is at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Garry Willis, Carolyn, Robin and baby of Newry were visitors on the week- end with his mother, Mrs. Doris Willis. Home for the weekend with their parents were Miss Eileen DeBoer, Joann Laidlaw, Alma Conn, Wayne Martin, John Gibb and Doris Rintoul. Mr. and Mrs. Angus Mowbray of Wingham called Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mow- bray. Mrs. A. E. Purdon is visiting. with Mr. and Mrs. Athol Purdon and family at Sarnia. Mr. and Mrs. Tbm Davidson and Anne and Mr. and Mrs. Smith and family moved to their new house on Whitechurch North - Street on the weekend. Last Tuesday evening those attending the Bruce South leis., trict celebration of the 75th anni- versary of Women's Institutes from Whitechurch were Mrs. Frank Ross, Mrs. Dave Gibb Mrs. Johnston. Conn, Mrs. Wal- laceConn, Mrs. Russel McGuire, Mrs. Fred Tiffin, 'Mrs. Gershon' Johnston, Mrs. Lewis, Mrs. Jim Currie, Mrs. Vic Emerson and Mrs. George Fisher who was in charge of the celebration arranged by a comrnittee from Lucknow, Belmore and Whi,to- church. Mr. and Mrs. Garry.Ouncan of Port Credit are this week holi- daying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Millan Moore. Mr. and Mrs. Johnston Conn and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Wyben- ga attended the ordi ation and induction service at,Westminster Presbyterian Church, Paisley, on Sunday evening. The sermon was given by Rev. Glen A. Noble of Lucknow and thecharges by Rev. T. J. McKinney of Teeswater. Rev. Peter D. Mellegers studied for two years, at Bible College and four years at Calvin College, Grand Rapids. 'It •was during this time he and Victor Wybenga were classmates and later at Knox College. Rev. P. Mellegers and' family come from Duntroon, near Collingwood.
