The call to worship and opening hymn were followed by scripture reading by Mrs. T. Boss. Mrs. Kelly led in prayer and gave a reading, "Holidays". Theme of the , meeting was on missions entering new fields in America and inland missions in Africa. America is becoming black. Choir dinner at BELGRAVE — The men's choir held their annual dinner. and social evening in the Blue - vale , United Church Sunday School rooms with the Bluevale UCW catering. Following the dinner Ross Procter moved a hearty vote of thanks to the UCW for the deli- cious dinner. Mrs. Mel Craig re- sponded for the ladies. George Johnston acted as master of ceremonies for the eve- ning and for a short impromptu program: Brenda Johnston, Nancy Anderson,. and Marjorie- Procter sang several 'delightful numbers, followed by a piano solo by Steven Sallows, w o is t ist,far ;eboir, :,,.p':, Haskins family holds reunion The 1972 Haskins, family re- union was held on June 11 with a good attendance in spite of the less than desirable weather con- ditions. Visitors were from Ham- ilton, Georgetown, Lion's Head,_ Waterloo and the Belmore-Wrox- eter area. The head table was decorated with spring flowers and a three-tier wedding cake: Wilmer Harcourt married the former Pearl Jones 25 years, ago on June 7, 1947. The late Rev. 0. J. Their leader and accompanist, Mrs. Barry Passmore, also at- tended the service as did several parents.
