Knox Church, Bluevale marks 115th Knox Presbyterian Church at Bluevale was filled to capacity Sunday morning when special services marking the 115th anni- ersary were held with a former Wingham pastor, Rev. Gordon Fish, now of Scarborough, preaching the sermon. Conduct- ing the service was Dennis Free- man, BA, student minister. Bright but cool weather favored the event, but brought about a change in original plans for a picnic lunch following the service. Mrs. Alba Mundell gave the prayer. • Roll call was answered by a verse from the Bible. Visits to the sick were recorded. A letter was read by the secretary on memos for secretaries of local adult groups. The treasurer's report was read by Mrs. Gordon Mundell who also received the offering. Women's Institute was cele- brated in the communityhall on June 9th by a. dessert euchre. There was a good attendance as former members and visitors from neighboring .branches at- tended. The hall was• tastefully dec- orated with flowers of Women's Institute colors, purple and gold. After a dainty dessert, Mrs. Mel Craig, Bluevale' president, conducted the celebration cere- mony giving a short snyopsis° of the activities of Bluevale Women's Institute. She had' nine. ?ornffr presidents and four former secretaries form a line and presented each with a cor- sage, with particular credit given to Mrs. M. L.
