Mrs. Harry Mulvey was in charge of the opening devotions which she took from The Upper Room. The scripture reading from Hebrews 10 was followed by prayer. Mrs. Dora McGuinness gave. a reading from a book by Henry Drummond, a 19th century scientist, which dealt with the true purpose of man's existence here on earth and what each indi- vidual's aim in life should be. The roll call was answered by 11 ladies. Mrs. Bill Mulvey conducted a study session on the first three gospels of the New Testament. The minutes were- read and adopted. The president, Mrs. John Rutherford. gave an ad- vance announcement of a special church week in October, to be marked especially by a meeting in Walkerton on Sunday, October 1. to meet some of the misSion- aries.
