t Ions on each firework. Select a
Iargectne for the lead-off and the
largest of all to wind up. All ,fire-
works should be kept in the box'in
which they came with the lid
closed to keep out stray sparks.
The two buckets of sand, used
as double firing bases, will
enhance your performance. Set
them about 12 feet apart. This
way you can maintain good tim-
ing by readying your next novelty
while one is performing. Also if a
piece does not go off you can let it
stand for awile and continue the
show from the other base.
If portable firing bases are not
available dig holes in the ground.
being sure each firework is firm-
ly supported before firing. • Bury
long fireworks at least half way
down lathe firing base. set at a 10
degree angle away from the
spectators. Light at arm's length.
If firework does not go off let it sit
for several minutes in the base
then douse with water and place
it in the refuse container. Don't
attempt to relight it.
The refuse container with
water should be placed between
the firing bases and all used
fireworks placed in it after firing.
